Course: Genomics and Functional Genetics for Microrganisms
A course for to explore genomics and functional genetics analyses in microrganisms studies
Together with my PhD supervisor, Prof. Chirlei Glienke, and Dr. Alan de Oliveira Silva, I am one of the lecturers in this course, which is promoted and offered by the Genetics Program at Universidade Federal do Parana (UFPR, Curitiba, Brazil), and by the Bioprospecting and Microrganism Molecular Genetics Lab (BioGeMM).
The main goal of the course is to provide knowledge on concepts and necessary tools for sucessfully employing genomics and functional genetics in many different contexts and studies. The course is structured in order to fullfill the needs of beginners and more experienced participants, from academic or diverse backgrounds.
We have successfully ran the first edition of the course in 2021, with more than 30 participants. The second edition will probably happen in the second semester of 2022.
